The Lunar Watch tutorial project is a 40-page PDF with 125 step by step images, pattern guides, and firing schedules. Mixing custom colors, wet in wet blending, and other enamel painting and detailing techniques are used.
The project is done on two layers of clear glass using powdered frit on the bottom layer and enamels on the top layer. The background glass uses opal powders yet fires translucent for light travel. I used Bullseye glass and powdered frit. If using COE96 compare your colors with a Bullseye frit color chart and make your choices.
The project includes steps I use to add gold leaf after the last firing. An alternative would be for you to use enamel and paint the moon.
