This serene winter on the lake is hand painted on two glass layers and required multiple kiln firings before a final full fusing of the glass. Winterscapes are one of my favorite painting subjects and this piece begins with a technique I developed in 2017 and layers on multiple other applications. The scene represents a combination of many places I have been and lived based on a lifetime of memories.
The glass measures 6" x 8". The custom stand of spalted maple wood and raw steel the overall size is 6.75"W x 12.75"T x 5.5"D.
