August 16th - August 30th - Wednesday class zoom meetings from 5:30 to 7:00 pm CST.
The supply list for the course is in a PDF file that will be in your email receipt from registering. In this PDF there is a ZOOM link that you must access and add yourself to the weekly ZOOM meeting roster. Save the ZOOM confirmation email as that has your access link for the ZOOM meetings. There are no refunds once registered. Seating is limited. Registration fee is per person attending the class.
Webcam and audio are required for this course. The course is live, interactive and social. I will demo live during the weekly meetings. Weekly exercises will be assigned for students to work on and post to the private Facebook group for feedback and assistance. All communications between the weekly live ZOOM meetings will be in that group.
Registrants should have some basic drawing skill or knowledge. This is not a beginner drawing course.
In this 3 - week course students will learn to employ multiple pen techniques to draw and illustrate using the traditional methods of pen nibs and ink. We will also explore the versatility of India ink (or optional colored inks) in a variety of techniques. In the weekly meetings I will demonstrated during the lecture on the weeks assignments and techniques. The final week of the course I will demonstrate basic Calligraphy techniques and guidelines.
Students will work on weekly exercises and post their work to a private FB group set up for the duration of the course for 1:1 video feedback and assistance. Students will post their final projects one week after the last meeting for a final review and critique.
A private Facebook group will be set up for students to post their work for video feedback and discussion.
