Watercolor Painting on Powdered Frit Saturday, July 22nd. 10am - 12:30pm CST $89 registration.
Please review the webinar information and guide above before registering.
Watercolor painting in fused glass is a technique that I developed in 2018 and is suitable for COE90 and 96 glass and the use of Unique Glass Colors products as well as some product alternatives. The image collage above shows examples of the many pieces I have done with this technique and what kind of results one can expect with practice and project planning for a broad range of subject matter.
Watercolor painting is a series of transparent color applications on a surface that provides luminosity as colors are layered while utilizing the ground or original surface color to allow light of that surface to reflect on the colors rendering their unique glow or ethereal mood and feeling. These qualities using fused glass rather than paper substrates elevates the light play in the color.
The PDF handout is emailed to registrants after the live event and will include a complete list of supplies, tools, firing schedule guides, photographed steps, and a step-by-step practice project. Demonstrations will include discussion on the glass and powdered frit colors and types to use, the surface preparation, transferring your design patterns, using the transparent to translucent color effectively, application steps and processes, and a few NEW applications I have been working on!
If you cannot attend the live webinar the replay link to download and PDF file will be emailed after the event. Please email me if you are not planning on attending so I can make a note!
